This tutorial i’m about to share is really really simple. This is about making a 3D Sphere. A lot have been wondering on how to make a 3D sphere without using any of the 3D tools like Maya or 3D Studio Max.

Ok let’s get started!
Open a new document in Adobe Photoshop. Set your resolution to 400 x 400. Later on, when you’ll be making your own graphics, you can choose any resolution you like.

Select the Paint Bucket tool and fill the page with your desired background color.

Make a new later and select the Elliptical Marquee Tool (by default it’s set on Rectangular Marquee Tool). Press hold Shift Key while dragging your mouse to the canvass to create a perfect circle.

Then select the color of your choice to fill the circle. Then press CTRL + D to unselect the circle.

Then make a new layer. Select the Paint Brush Tool. On the Paint Brush Toolbar select Soft Round Pixel sized 350. Afterwards, on the color selection tool, select a lighter color of your circle. In this example, I selected 54D58E color. Then apply the brush to the circle the same way as I did in the picture.

You can always play around with the brush according to your lighting taste. That’s it. Pretty simple, yeah?
Try it out!
